Erevo 2.0 Center diff for E maxx/Supermaxx etc...

I just took an E revo 2.0 trans and fitted it into my Maxx based basher (T maxx chassis/mono block/FLM bulks with 1/8 diffs). The trans fit my RC so it should fit any E maxx. You have to remove the revo top shaft from the trans and replace it with a brushless E maxx top shaft. You will need to cut the back half off the E maxx top shaft to match the E revo top shaft. Once you have the two in your hand you will see what needs to be done. This needs to be done so you can reuse your existing E maxx slipper/spur what ever your running. Motor plate...The holes in the motor plate will also need some tweaking. Looking at the front of the trans the bottom left mounting screw is fine, the top one will need to be slotted, the next one is fine and the bottom right will need an entirely new hole drilled.

Oh man....I will have to dig through the bag tags to see what I used. I don't remember off the top of my head. Its still a tank and I just blew the winter dust off and ripped up the frozen back yard with her. Trans was a great mod.

Center rear is a Serpent 600625. The front center is just the one from a Savage XL that people used when they switched to FLM hybrid bulls. I do t have the part # for that one but it been there for like 8 years.

I do have another question.
Do I have to use the Emaxx slipper system or can I use the Cush drive on the 2.0 tranny. I’m waiting on the Emaxx motor plate and I’m worried the Cush drive sticks farther out than the stock slipper system and because of that, the pinion/spur won’t line up correctly.

I'm running an e revo 2.0 tranny in my e maxx vxl with the cush drive and traxxas steel center cvds. The only mods I had to do were machining a small amount of plastic from the chassis so the transmission would fit through the chassis opening and I had to mount velcro battery straps because the motor mount doesn't allow the 3s batteries to lay flat in the factory battery tray. I also had to mount the esc vertically on the rear shock tower but im running an SUV body so its wasn't an issue. I used Unlimited Engineering 7.5/8 gear spider diffs and they are bullet proof. It was a fairly simple build and it makes the e Maxx a beast.
