Default Surface and air receivers?

I have a Hitec Aggressor srx pro 3 channel surface radio (it suits my big hands), it uses the DSSS 2.4ghz system. As the radio is no longer supported the receivers are hard to come across. Yet Radiolink and a few other companies make DSSS 6+ channel air receivers that are pretty cheap. Will it work in a surface radio or is there a line of programming that stops it?

Unless it specifically says it will work I doubt it. You might have some luck asking the seller?

+1

Almost every brand of system uses a proprietary binding sequence... there are some aftermarket brands like Dasmikro, Lemon etc who will sell "compatible" sequences for brands like KO Propo, Spektrum and Futaba, but I haven't heard of anyone making anything compatible for HiTec.

I think the topicstarter thinks old fasion. With an AM transmitter you can use all brands receivers, with FM almost all so with that logic he thinks any DSSS receiver will work with his transmitter but no that will nit work. DSSS is the way how the transmission is done but the information send is brand (/model) related and so brands are nit compatible with each other.
