Agree, unless people ban it because it costs too much

Picture of AE pivot with cut ears. Everyone knows when you mix blue and orange, your car goes 0.2 secs slower a lap.

Haven't actually bought the Fenix Diff yet... might be worth waiting for this one.

Jumped the gun and bought it. This kit will be my introduction into F1 and re-entry into RC. Thanks DarkGenerals for your reply.
Not sure if it's box stock or if upgrades have been done to it. First step: taking it apart and putting everything back together again following the manual. Actually, first step: waiting for the tools I need to take it apart to arrive. Also wondering what state the batteries it came with will be in.

From what I have read so far tires seem to be 90% of a good set-up.
Does anyone have experience with the volante tires used in the ETS?
And some newbie help on tire additive?

Will be racing outdoor first.

Hey Guys, I've been running my '18 with the kit setup on black carpet for a few weeks now and it is working well other than the occasional traction roll during the first 2 minutes of a race. I have my front sidewalls glued up to about 1mm from the seam where the sidewall meets the rolling surface of the tire, should I go higher? I have tried increasing and reducing the rear droop, softer front springs and several different tire sauce methods front and rear and the only thing that really seems to cure it is no sauce but then I run into a pretty bad push. Any other suggestions?

I glue all the way up to the tread both front AND rear on my F1 tyres...
But first maybe try softening up the swaybar by mounting the links further down the bar (further from the pivot axis = softer)
1mm difference in swaybar mounting seems to make a big difference in handling for me

I've found that the Pit 571 front tires do just that.
Grip roll for the first several laps then settle in perfectly then push like mad.
UF1 used to race 15 min mains and by the end of the main the car would not turn at all.
I went to the Pit 574 front tires and what ever you started out with sauce wise was what you got for the whole race.
i.e. if you grip roll at the start, you'll grip roll til the end, get it right and it's right til the end.
Full side wall glue AND full sauce up front and my Xray was good to go.
Note: that was gray carpet days, haven't had the pleasure of running black carpet, yet.

I would see what the locals are using for sauce and tire manufacturer.

The motor is good, but a great motor is useless if your setup isn't right and your driving lines are off. Get the setup right , make the car very easy to drive first, consistently place top 5 and then if you can't get any better then buy the great motor and batteries.

This is true.

Save your money. Wrench on your car until you know every setting and how it changes your car. That and practice. Don't think about what pack you should buy. Think about running as many packs as possible.

New lipos and motors can't overcome a sloppy line

I don’t agree, I don’t have money to be buying everything twice. I buy good stuff and take care of it. You will get fast.

that sounds good Bert, I'll give that a try also.

A few tips. No sway bar. I know no one running it on black carpet successfully. Run the cross brace on the A-arms. Also, try the optional wider arms, they help. For front springs I ran the XRay gold softs and xray gold soft side springs with 12k in the tubes and 2.5 million in the gear diff.
