I should order another one at some point. I need the parts from one last kit to finish upgrading my XV-01 fleet.

A couple pages ago I asked if anyone knew whether adding kickup to the front suspension would do any good.

After some experimentation with several FWD vehicles, I can say 1-2mm of front kickup definitely does help. The tires chatter much less on acceleration, presumably because adding kickup makes the suspension extend when accelerating, which jams the tires into the ground and reduces wheelhop.

I haven't played with rear kickup yet, but on the smooth tracks you guys drive on, there's probably no benefit to rear kickup. On rough pavement it may help smooth bumps a bit.

So last time I was at the track, I was able to bring up my lap time by nearly a second a lap. Sadly, I'm still something like 4 seconds a lap off the pace. I'm running USGT...

In the mail this weekend, I got my super shorty pack, so that will go in the car this week. And I'm going to figure out some "good" pack mounting method. for now, I've been using double sided foam tape, and packing tape to keep the battery in the battery well. (it works...)

I know where I can find at least two seconds a lap on the current layout... The question is, where will the last two seconds come from?

^^ Uh, pretty much LOVE it! That is slick.

Have you put it though it's paces yet? You gonna run it on asphalt or rug?

CSO has had pics for a year or two of a FWD conversion for T4-type cars, but I have yet to find a kit. This looks cool.

I would love to have that too! That looks to be a pretty nice conversion for an already tidy TC platform.

And it has my favorite body for it already.

FF-03

And my VBC FF17

And my real FF

Had a quick question/thought for you guys... Do you guys think that the FWD "class" would ever make a comeback? Meaning, do you think there could ever be enough interest to make a TC FF class? Kind of like there used to be back in the early to mid 90's with the Tamiya cars. I used to run F1 and FWD back in the day at TCS races. by far my two favorite classes - with the GTP class in there as well.

It just seems that there are quite a few "new" FF'ers coming out - and with VBC alone releasing two chassis's and 3 variations in the last year... I just hope that there could be enough interest for traditional TC racers to want to run a FF too. How cool would it be to have a separate class, like a whole heat, of these cars running racing around the track and NOT having to run with the 4WD TC's?!
