Best way to install throttle return spring?

Yep, but hasn't happened yet. Throttle linkage setup and a good cup should help to prevent that. I posted the picuture as it is an idea that works for me and hasn't let me down. Matter of fact I've had 100% more failures in bands than throttle linkage popping off. Just saying.

you could always run both, the elastic doesn't have to be very stretched out because it just needs to hold the carb closed if the linkage falls off so it should last longer. then your covered in any case besides a servo locking up

But now I have this brand new $150 Futaba servo that's real twitchy and had a runaway with another car a while back so between those 2 things, I'm trying to start using return springs.
I just got my Dynamite springs in the mail Friday and they look a lot better then the Nova springs so hopefully at least maybe I can now do something about the twitchy servo.
All my servos I run for T/B are at least 180/oz so I guess they're strong enough to tolerate the extra load?

Usually it doesn't have to close the throttle completely when the engine is off, ones the engine is running the vibrations will help close it, test and see.
And I'm not sure what you're using to help close, but I don't have problems with Savöx.

Just a thought, if you had the servo for some time it might need to be serviced, it can collect a lot of dirt inside.
