I've been running cut gears with the mip puck system since the b6 came out with zero issues. I just rebuilt my diff this week and all the teeth on the gears still look good

how did you set your diff at? And what track surface do you race at?

I have been running the RC Speed Secret cut gears in very high bite clay for a while now with a ball diff and the gears are strong. I use the Exotek topshaft and slipper eliminator. Im just north of you in Bakersfield racing at Rainmans. I have never run the MIP system but have not heard great things from others at our track that have. when you do the cut gears do the ceramic bearings too and your will have a very friction free and light drive train that is noticeable with a little more initial snap.

Default HELP

Hey all,

I feel like I am going a bit crazy here...but I can't seem to figure out how to mount the shocks.

When I put the bushing on, I find there is no way to fit it on the shock towers with enough screw length to install the nuts. I checked and made sure that I am using the right screws.

Are you using the correct bushing? Short in front, long in rear.

Yep, I am. It doesn't want to budge at all.

Anyone tried running heavier diff oil (black high grip carpet) in mod buggy? Wondering if something like 10-15k would change much from the kit setup?

I tried 12.5k 4gears. No way to rotate the car 😂

Currently can almost rotate the car within its own width it corners so tight. Trying to get it where it can still rotate without being quite so snappy. The car is really good but just looking to try something that will make it just that much better for my style(or lack of talent)....lol

Just got back from practice and I can set my ride height to 15mm or even lower. I settled with 16mm. It makes my buggy faster in 180 corners without bottoming out in the big jumps. Cutting the spring works granting you cut both sides equally.

mine lands fine with 1.6 fronts , 32.5 wt, blue springs ; 1.9 rear (drilled), 37.5/40wt , purple/orange springs. Pistons are the Factory Team machined versions ; Ride height at 16mm. I also use the steel servo weight and brass front bulkhead.

on carpet (and astro), I use vrp eu pistons with lighter oil (that's the goal)
1.6/30-35 in ft ; 1.7/30-25 in rr
depending of the track and temp.

( I also use yokomo rp springs)
