I did get to run last weekend and tried running without the rear braces and with the stock rear sway bar. I feel it had a little more rear grip. Not a ton but worth a try. I feel the setup window for outdoor is much wider for this model than most others. In other words it drove pretty well even with box stock.

For wheels, which ones are people liking that have the hex protected on the rear (basically it doesn't stick out?) I have seen a few options, but curious what seems to be the go to right now.

Car is back in stock at Tekno. I assume Amain and others will have them within a few days

cut the threads a lil shorter and clean up with filing so that they do not stick out. My HB D413 were LONG

I know SDRC was saying that they were selling the MIP Pucks for $140 this weekend however normal price for the entire kit would be above the $200 price. This is for both front, and rear and it also upgrades both center diffs. I am not sure if this is a price only for walk ins or if they will ship for this price as well. MIP is debuting the kits for the Top Gun Shootout this weekend. It's one of the larger races that SDRC does during the year.

The kits I know SDRC got like 30 or so..

Speaking of spur gear, IMHO, the CF top plate is a must, whether you plan to use a fan or not.
I would say that the other must have is the aluminum shock caps. Makes building the shocks that much easier.

So what would be the advantage of this puck system over the stock drive train? For the typical club racer...non sponsored...hobbyist who just likes to have fun and compete, does it really make a difference?

I can't speak for the EB410, but I have used the MIP pucks in both my TLR22-3.0 and Schumacher CAT K2... both cars gained roughly 0.3-0.5 sec/lap faster lap times, you feel it more on acceleration and it's easier to clear jumps with a shorter ramp up... if you're more than a lap off pace, then it's probably not worth the upgrade, but if you're in the mix, then it might be worth considering. Be prepared to replace bent shafts too, the softer aluminum shaft is more likely to bend in a nasty crash and if you run the plastic pucks that come with the system, you'll want to clean/inspect them after every run... plan to replace the pucks every couple of race days, they are high maintenance which is why I prefer the rollers. I've got about a year of use on both cars with MIP Rollers and never had to replace an out drive when regularly lubing them with dry teflon bike chain lube. If you're not careful and let your plastic pucks wear out too much, then the metal screws will dig into the out drives and tear them up pretty quickly

Going to use a speed passion 10.5 motor on indoor clay track, with 15-16 second lap times. Will the 81T spur work, or the 70T be better?

I used the puck system in my B64 and to be honest car was a little quicker. However I am not sure it is worth it for an average club racer (that's me) to use. If your running near the top and need that little extra then go for it.
After seeing what lap times my EB410 was able to do in the hands or a pro I now know its not my car it's my driving and the puck's are not going to fix that. Only more practice will. That's my .02

My TLR rear wheels protects the hex. The center is set back so the end of the axle sits flush with the face of the wheel - actually may be even slightly below the face of the wheel.

These are what I'm running. I had them laying around from my 22-4 2.0.

The 81t will be plenty for that motor. You'll probably end up around 25/81 at most using a 10.5.

Default Pinion size and motor type

OK guys got the 70 spur, but not sure what pinion i would need to run.

Medium size clay track with medium bite.

Going to pick up a 13.5 motor, either a Tekin Spec-R or a Trinity Monster Max.

Kinda leaning towad the Tekin. Opinions are weclome.

Thanks in advance.

Default Gear chart

Attached is an updated gear chart with the 70 spur added. I have found around 7 FDR works well for the 13.5 R1 V16 on carpet. This should be close for most 13.5 except the Tekin type R. That apparently wants around 8.5-8.8 (Edit).
