You definitely don't need the screw kit, especially on carpet where a really low weight isn't needed. The bearing kit from RC Speed Secrets is a surprisingly big difference though. I'd get that and things to increase your durability like Lunsford links.

Thanks for your input, Durability and ease of use are going to be my big to factors for me since I'm so new. Just trying to but together a buy list. I will need a 13.5 motor as far as electronics go, and then whatever replaceable parts I may need on hand as I break things.

Got to drive the EB410 this weekend and car was awesome. Was able to TQ and win 13.5 4wd at round one of Tyler Hook's Southern Winter Payout Series. Ran Mason's Surf City setup with 15k and 7k diff setup with a center Exotek locker. Car was awesome all day with qualifying times that would have put me 4th in the Mod 4wd A. Car weighed in at 1654.

I want to buy a 4wd for 13.5 stock racing. I haven't been racing long 5 Races 10 Practices mostly w/ a short course and a buggy 2wd both associated. I recently moved and have a new track to get used to. I'm looking at both EB410 and B64D. Was going to just get the B64D but I was reading that the EB410 is a durable car. I think something that could handle a new driver better would be better for me. Most guys at the track are using associated. It's an outdoor bumpy dirt track with dusty to sandy conditions most of the time. (mostly the reason I'm switching over to a 4wd car) What are your thoughts for the guys who have driven and worked on both?

Congratulations on winning Hooks race for 13.5 4WD. I plan on entering when it comes to Thornhill. When you used the Exotek locker did you use the spur that came with it 75T or did you go with a smaller one. What spur and Pinion combo did you go with. I tried it out last weekend and I used 75-27. It felt good but I feel I need to change the gearing. Thanks.

B64 FLITE 75t CENTER SPOOL SET, for 17.5 and 13.5 spec - Exotek Racing

It's carbon fiber goody time once again folks! It looks like the people over at Bezerk RC have considered our worries about the top mounted fan not fitting under certain bodies and their angled fan mount seems to be the ticket! Check 'em out. I ordered the fan mount/center diff cap, and just the standard center diff cap. All came out to $26 shipped. Though shipping will probably be like snail mail lol.

Is this the locker you're referring to? If so, what else is required? I'm assuming diff shims to space it?
