I'd really really love to see some side by side comparison photos of the A800 and 4X. The 4X is very deceptive to look at in photos - it's hard to see how low everything really is on the 4x compared to other cars. For example, the suspension arms look lower - the mounting positions at the hubs look lower inside the wheel. Nobody has either of these cars at my track so I can't make physical comparisons

They are very different cars in 100 ways, some good and some bad on both sides.

Have you looked at the rcbuilds link in the Wiki above? For the a800 look at jdandracing.blogspot.com

I have both of these cars and it looks like the CG on the A800 is even lower than the 4X's. I love how both have done away with the shock towers.

Each car is completely different too. I would argue that the A800 is a MUCH more conventional car than the 4X in terms of build and setup. I've not had any track time with my A800 yet so can't comment on performance comparison but I'll say I like my 4X more than my T4 and Xpress XQ1 on and off track!

I mainly want to see the difference in A-arm height - the 4X upper and lower arms look much lower to me.

I have looked at both. It's interesting that reviewers rarely if ever include comparison side by side photos with competing cars so you can get a better feel for the differences...there is nice side by side photo of a GZ1 and the 4X early in this thread that tells a lot about the 2 cars. More of this would be very helpful - especially side by side elevation views (front, back, left/right comparisons).

Really looking forward to driving the car. Its excellent craftsmanship. Easy swap... will keep yall posted on the handling of it.

I think I can get a side by side for ya with Awesomatix too.

The 4X arms are lower, yes. It's really not an apples to apples comparison tho, given the difference in arm length, which is a massive difference.

The short 4X arms will cause the car to not roll as easily, so to generate the needed roll a lower mounting point is needed.

I noticed that eventually - upper arms look really short which surprised me.

A pic of the rear ends side by side at eye level would be awesome.

Hi,
Does anyone run on foam tyres or have a foam setup for the 4X?

I have Tworks Titaniumn pillow balls in stock for the 4x now. Saves a good bit of weight versus stock.

I'll have to ask my local serpent guy this weekend. I think he said 8-9 grams.
