I run 17.5 on the black rug and I am using the mid-high position as well. You have to make sure not to put the "high" blocks in the low position or the arms will actually be lower than the bulkheads causing a bind. I am going to be trying out the new rrs links in the rear today. Been working on a good setup for awhile now. Once I get it to a decent point I will post a setup sheet.

I think Airwave knows that but he's prob trying different things.
Zeiler, do you use any other option parts? I've been sitting on my shopping cart with all those option parts a while waiting for VTD to be available.

I know everybody thinks it is already too low, but I'm running Volante 36R without additive, so I really need the car to roll to load the tyre and make it hot.
I'm pretty sure that on ETS carpent or Fasttrack II the roll center would be too low... This is coming only from a visual impression, when I run my VBC I can see the car roll and tyres temp is ok (around 47°C), my P4X seems to be too gentle with the tyres and the temp rarely get over 40 °C... So I'm trying. I'm also pretty sure that at some point I have to switch for the light CF chassis, this original one is too stiff for low traction asphalt.
Don't take my opinion for absolute truth. :-) I love reading other feed-backs on the car, on carpet or asphalt.

In regards to tire temp, mine records 105 inside-upto 115 (43C) outside in F. This is when I run 32R-36R sorex in ambient 80-90F, track 100-120F.

This car's suspension is just so foreign and you have to take both heave and roll dampers into consideration at the same time and this makes me fight hard to get the right set up.
Anyway I hope I can find better one in my 3rd outing soon.

With 3 great, mostly conventional, cars in my stable already, I'm looking for something exotic to feed the R/C addiction.
Project 4x vs A800 vs GZ2. My preference changes with the wind and none of the exotics have everything I want but an updated Serpent sure sounds exciting to me.

That chassis looks fantastic and I'm not just referring to the cosmetics - the shape of the cutouts looks a lot more purposeful than the the typical TC aluminum plate.
