Out of the box, the car is good. But, I am using different front and side springs. I've gone back and forth between the stock ball diff and the Fenix gear diff, I'm still undecided on which I like better right now.

I feel there is no need to parts swap on this car, other than springs. There's quite a few guys that had to change things out of necessity because of parts availability, but that is no longer an issue according to Giorgio.

I do wish their was a u.s. distributor for the car and parts. How big is your house Chris?

LOL! That's a good one, I wish. However, I am working on getting these kits into my local shop. I'm not quite sure if we can become a distributor, but I know for sure we will definitely stock these cars and parts hopefully sometime soon. I know not everybody is comfortable with doing mail order items across the seas and across the world, and to be quite honest it's just flat-out easier buying from somebody in your country rather than out of country.

I want to order a kit but I need to make sure I'm getting the right one for carpet. I'm a little worried about parts since it's been 15 years since I ran f1.

For starters, I'd definitely go with the aluminum kit. The carbon kit is good, but the aluminum feels better on the carpet. It also adds weight to the car at the very lowest point, so that's a benefit. I've hit a few things, rather hard, and I have yet to break anything. If we carry the cars at the shop, I'll definitely make sure to keep the spares in stock as well. But from what I've seen so far, it can take a beating. Not saying you won't break anything, but it can hold its own.

So I've been working on a good base starting point for this car for about three weeks now, and I believe I've put together something good here. This is for CRC black carpet, so please keep that in mind. The car is easy to drive, not twitchy, and quite fun. Ive had many people run the car for me, some that don't even ran any pan car classes, and they all say its easy and fun to drive.

I have a setup sheet that has been sent to Giorgio, so as soon as he uploads the file to his database, I'll have him post it. Unfortunately, the PDF file exceeds the attachment size limit. looks like it ran good at Cleveland. how did the gear diff work for you?

Car was really good. One of only three people to post a 22 lap qualifier. Gear diff was awesome, definitely alot more efficient than the ball diff when traction comes up.

I have been making strides with my mistral. I had to stop myself from comparing this car to others as far as setup changes. On black carpet this car likes stiffness. The reactive front end is almost like cheating. Only thing I would like to play with is a front swaybar. Anyone have any ideas on how to make one?
