Indoor OnRoad 2017-2018
#53
The indoor season has started, just in time for August weather to finally show up. Last weekend we had about a half dozen people show up and help get a new track layout in place and got the bulk of the cleaning done in 3.5 hours. The track will be open tomorrow(Sept 23) at noon for practice and racing at 4:30pm. Wednesday off road practice has started for the season too, so come on out and hone in those driving skills!
Building update…The owner of the building is going to tear the building down. This means we have to be out by October 31st. We have been renting the space on a month-to-month basis and we knew the time to move was going to come at some point. It is unfortunate that it is right at the beginning of our indoor season, but this is nothing the club has not dealt with in the past. Having said this, we need everyones help in finding a new place. If you see anything or know someone who has warehouse space, please send us an email [email protected]. We need at least 6000 square feet of space and most of that needs to be warehouse space for the track. Again, if anyone knows of anything, please let us know.
We will continue all racing programs till we move and the off road point series will still start on Oct. 21 as originally scheduled. We may have to change the length of the point series and reschedule some of the points weeks but we will look into that based on when we get a new building.
We have had a few people express their interest in running for a board member position and that’s great! As mentioned previously, we are looking for 6-8 individuals to be board members who are interested in making a difference in the club. We will make a sheet for nominations that will be posted on the bulletin board attached to the announcer booth. If you would like to run for a board member position please put your name on the nomination sheet, or if you think someone would be a good candidate, please put their name on there. If your name gets put on the sheet, you can always turn it down.
See you at the track!

Move out days are Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th starting @ 10 AM. All personnel items left at the track will be your responsibility. This includes any rolling desk chairs you may have brought in. The tables and MARCCA chairs and spectator seating, drivers stand, race directors stand, track barriers and carpet will disassembled and loaded into a semi trailer being provided to the club. Bring tools and gloves.

With the great team work that these people provided, we got everything moved out in about 5 hours! That was amazing! Great job everyone!
Now, everyone, put your feelers out. We need a building so we can race!
