I'll just hit the wall going the other way

I think I'm still the only one to blow the front end of a m06 off

Towerhobbies doesn't carry m06 parts

Just picked up a #253 motor, box says #253 but came with a 273 stamping on rotor.
Motor Rules: You MUST use the REEDY 21.5 MACH 3 motor for this class. (Part
#253) Note: YOU MAY ONLY use the included rotor and stator. The output shaft has
the number 273 number etched on it for easy identification during post tech
inspection.

Summer is winding down and it’s time to start thinking about the indoor racing season. We are going to start the indoor off road on Saturday September 16th. We will start the day off at noon with cleaning and track building. Once that is all done, we can knock the rust off the cars and the driving skills. This also means that starting September 20th, offroad practice on Wednesday nights begins. The Thursday night racing program will not be run this year due to the low attendance last year. On road racing will be moving back to Sundays after September 15th with on road practice still continuing to be on Tuesday nights. A Calendar of Events has been added to the Facebook page so you can easily see what is coming up.
We will be going back to having a points race every weekend and just running the usual 3 qualifiers and single mains. There will be two 10 week point series and each drivers 3 lowest points will be dropped and not used at all, not even for tie breakers. Same as it’s always been. The first points race will be on October 21st. This gives everyone a good month or so of running before the point series starts.
New for this season, Rick Seffrood has created three Bananas Skins Challenge races, each one taking place at a different track. MARCCA will be the 3rd one taking place in March, as it has in the past. Each event is its own race and not a traveling point series. MARCCA will have a normal race program during the first two Bananas Skinz Challenge races but it will not be a points night. If you have never travelled to a race, these would be great events to get your feet wet. This is a great opportunity to meet others with the same passion for RC racing you have and race against people you don’t normally race with.
Race 1 - Star Collectables/Island Speedway in Muscatine, Iowa on October 13-14.
Race 2 - The Hardwoods in Ithaca, Michigan on January 12-13.
Race 3 - MARCCA in Fitchburg, Wisconsin on March 9-10.
We would like to bring back having elections. We are looking for 6-8 individuals to be board members who are interested in making a difference in the club. We will make a sheet for nominations that will be posted on the bulletin board attached to the announcer booth. If you would like to run for a board member position please put your name on the nomination sheet, or if you think someone would be a good candidate, please put their name on there. If your name gets put on the sheet, you can always turn it down.
As many of you may or may not know, arguably the largest RC racing class in America, if not the world, is 17.5 Stock 2WD Buggy. Starting this season we want to offer this class. This will be a rubber tire (no spikes) class using ROAR legal 17.5 motors and no speed control timing. Speed control must be in blinky mode. See ROAR Racing for complete rules. Why rubber tires? There have been many people that race at other tracks within a couple hours of us that have expressed interest in running at our track but only have rubber tires. We believe this class could really take off as it has everywhere else. As for tires, for other tracks running no spike rubber tires the consensus is that a clay compound slick tire works best. Schumacher also makes a tire called Venom 88 that one of our members ran last year and it had plenty of grip. Rumor is the slick tires last longer than the spikes we have used in the past.
Indoor drone racing will be taking place again this winter at MARCCA. Dates and times to come. Keep an eye on the Calendar of Events.
We have the awards from the last points series from the end of last winter season. If you participated in more than half the series, there is an award waiting for you. Sounds like a great way to start the racing season if you ask me.
I can’t wait to see everyone there!
