Battery performance
Turnigy Graphene > others

I took the big nasty out today at the park and recorded the battery temperatures of the Turnigy Graphene 6S soft case vs Turnigy Basher 6S hard case. It was very hot and humid out. After a full pack which is around 15 minutes or so at full throttle, the Graphene was 118 degrees and after just 5 minutes the Basher was 123 degrees. Yes, the Graphene is 5000mah vs the Basher at 4000mah so not a exact comparison but it is what it is. Needless to say I'm no longer going to be using these weak sauce hard cases for this particular truggy, it just demands too much.

I also tested the range on my new Futaba receiver with built-in antenna. It works great long range, no problemo. It looks much cleaner with no antenna sticking out.

Been researching building a 1/8th truggy. I probably won't go to this extreme, at least at first, but I just wanted to say thank you for taking all of this extra time to write up all of the trials and tests you've been through.

New motor for this truggy.

This fine specimen is a Cordova 1440, 2000kv, 40.6x102mm, 631g The craftsmanship put into this motor is way beyond what you'll find in typical Chinese mass produced motors. It doesn't have fancy anodizing and other fluff but I guarantee you this motor will outperform most anything out there. Cordova and Neu are the best of the best. Generally speaking the heavier the motor the better performance it's going to have. Which usually means it has more copper wire inside. Cordova is well known for putting the maximum amount of copper wire that can physically fit inside the can. For example, my TP4070 is the same exact dimension at 40x102mm but it weighs 585g, that's quite a bit of air in there. Look forward to running this one.

8mm bullets of course

8awg wire

Got everything buttoned up. I'll be using a 20T pinion for off-road, which is 80 mph no-load gearing.

Do they have a motor for the MT410?

The power of the motor seems similar to all of the other big motors I've used. However, the motor runs ICE COLD. I never saw temps over 90* and that's with no fans! I'm going to modify my heat sink so that's why I didn't use them. It's as if the motor needs 8S to warm up LOL. I'm running a 20T pinion in this video.

The 1427 would fit but that's a buggy size motor, may be ok though given what I've seen so far. The problem is the wires stick out of the end so much so you wouldn't be able to use the 1430.

I honesty don't think I'm getting 100% power with this. I have a bad solder joint on the ESC. The wire broke off when I touched it. Plus the negative bullet on my battery is burnt to a crisp from being sparked 100 times. Time to re-solder everything.

Switched to the MMX ESC.

I'm going to put a larger fan on it and it will stay on the whole time.

After

Nice, please post some of the Cordova’s Current and Ripple numbers from the MMX when you get to it .
