Yes, they're the same platform.

That diff is really nice! Why the Agama spur? Does a Losi spur not fit within the center diff mount for some reason?

Agama is the only one who makes a 44T spur for this diff case and I wanted to be able to switch center diffs out easily with the Tekno without having to redo the gear mesh. Losi only makes a 45T spur.

Excellent, I'm still using the same lines. I've never had one break on either truggy.

Dope, I tried the same thing on mine but I only have 0.35mm thickness and 26kg strenght so I wrapped it around 7 times or so on each section. What thickness is your line and strenght?

Actually I had my tires taped but the tape came loose from all jumping. Also I put a drop of super glue every 4cm around the wheel to hold the line.

I'll never tape tires again, this works so much better. This is the line I use.

I have a question about the motor and maybe tips on what i need.

I have a Stock Kraton V2 and SMC 9200mAh 90c 6s lipo and i do not want it for bashing. I want it to go fast off road and on roads with terrain crusher tires with 0-60mph faster then it is stock, like burnouts, grass shredding and such with a faster off road top speed tho im also NOT looking to do 75+ mph on streets but to get the off road top speed to match it on road if that is possible or simply to get it as close to 50-60mph off road. I dont know if the 2000kv they got is enough or can i put the 1500kv in it with maybe a new ESC and a 18t pinion and be set or what will i need to keep it from pooping out from heat or gears/dif's shredding apart?

I have on my To Buy list
SRC terrain crushers, Hitec HS-7950TH servo, servo mount and bearings if that is a must and i hear shims for the dif's. I also dont have any tools besides what ARRMA gives with their RC's. No oil or anything.

I would suggest the longest motor that fits, for power and cooler temps. A lower kv around 1500 is ideal for 6S use. I would run the stock ESC for as long as it lasts. I would service all 3 diffs and make sure they're shimmed properly and full of oil. The center diff oil needs to be a lot thicker, I would start with 100k. I would suggest a real set of tools. MIP makes a nice 1.5, 2.0, 2.5mm hex driver wrench set for a good price.

Original ring gear after 2+ years of 6S/big motor/big pinion use.

If im not wrong it is the spider gears that break and not the ring/pinion on these 1/8 scale diffs?

you are correct....
however if they are shimmed properly inside and out thats the way they look.
Mine are the same and have been abused with 6s as well.
Remember in full scale rear wheel drive cars this same set up takes a tremendous amount of abuse from the engine and drive line on a drag car.
These little set ups are the same thing scaled down and are exposed to instant TQ...
its amazing they take what they do with no failure.

I seen the new motors now has vents on both ends, isn't that bad? Looks like all the grass and dirt, even rocks will get inside the motor....

Lame, cant add a pic.

The motor would hang out of the bottom tho the area is huge for large motors. Prob may have to go with leopard motors.

It is silly to have vents on both sides, which tells me these motors are used for boats. Also a smooth can needs an added heatsink in order to be cool with a fan.

I see others break the ring & pinion more than the spider gears.

Poseidon switched to a vented can awhile back, I guess because they cater to the speed run community. TP is sealed and has several different sizes and options.
