Little better rotation on the way in and a little better on power steering on the way
out.of corners. It seems most popular on high grip astro and carpet.

I kmow the stock guy's do this and love it. Is it doable with mod? Don't wanna mess any gears up.

I am going to try to run my diff with just 2 gears tonight with a 7.5 on astro. And I'll report back the results.

I've ran 2gears in my diff with 6.5 on astro for a while and it holds up just fine. Its a good compromise between 4 gears and a ball diff.

Did you go down on the diff fluid? How was the on power steering? I have had to run 10k at our carpet track to keep from diffing out with 4 gears. Going this high in diff fluid has hurt my rotation. I am going to be playing around with 2 gears as well. Any ideas where to start with fluid weight? Running 7.5t on tight high grip carpet.

Can anyone recommend an easy to drive setup that uses slicks? Track is super hard packed grooved and bumpy. Or anyone got the nats setup? Thank you

I just ran my diff with 2 gears last night on medium to high grip bumpy astro and really liked the feel. To me, the rotation was much better throughout the turn and I was able to get back on the throttle a lot sooner and my average lap times went down by a tenth or two.

I used 5k oil in the diff and it felt really free without diffing out. I might try to go up to 6k to see how that feels but for me there was definitely improvement with using only 2 gears.

Also, I was running a 7.5 and there wasn't any durability issues for me.

Rebuilded my diff to 5k 2gear. Will see how it goes with 8.5T on a outdoor high grip bumpy astro track

Let me know what you think of it, I'm interested to see if you found the same thing that I did.

When you install the alloy front bulkhead, are you meant to reuse the steel plate that goes across the front of the plastic version? There aren't any instructions but this seems logical to me.

Thx. I was going to use a few 1mm shims, but this was far easier.

I'm riding with this configuration (7k in the diff) since a year now
And I'm pretty happy with it
