I don't know what Velcro types are available there in your part of the world, but here (in Australia) I use 'Velcro' brand heavy duty type. The adhesive is stronger than the average Velcro. Once on, it never come off.

But I've noticed, even with the heavy duty Velcro, you must apply within a certain temperature range. I don't know what that is, but in the past when I make a new body, I'm usually finishing late at night in my garage and it's cold. Then race the next day and it comes off.
Lately, I've been using a hairdryer to warm up the adhesive a little before applying.

Ive had the same experience with scotch VHB double sided tape for esc's too.

I hope that helps

If you still have issues with the velcro staying in place, purchase it without the sticky back and strictly use shoe goo to adhere it in place. Make sure you let it sit for 24 hours at room temperature to fully set.

odd question here but curious, how much weight bias do you see on the B6 versus the B6D front to rear?

example:

- RC10B6: 45% Front, 55% Rear
- RC10B6D: 40% Front, 60% Rear

Currently, with no added weight anywhere and a shorty pack in the middle, my B6d sits at 36/64. This is with a 4600 mah pack and a shorty servo. For loamy/loose tracks I work towards 32/68 and on the highest traction track I frequent I end up at 62/38. These changes are just done by moving the pack and adding maybe 1 oz of stick on weight as needed.

Maybe someone can chime in with their laydown transmission measurements.

Looks good - look me up when you're at Sparks and the Factory. I'm headed to the Factory tomorrow night and might be able to make it out to Sparks on Thursday. I'll be the guy with a laydown B6D and a standup B6D.

I don't go thru the week, usually only go for special big races and the WRL races. I live to far to go on a more regular basis, and wish I worked less to be able to go more. But I will look you up I know I'll need help with the buggy.

Yeah I sold the dog a while back unfortunately I had been getting no work hours so she had to go. Had it working really well but the b6 is just easier to do the same lap times with

what is the difference between +1 or +2 steering blocks vs Add washer on steering rack? they both change Ackerman angle. what's the point to tune both?

I think changing the blocks is a bigger change then adding washers to the rack. Meaning it would take a lot of washers to get the same change as swapping out the steering block. The rack with washers is a finer adjustment I think.

Was looking over setup sheets and noticed guys are removing gears from diff, running 2 instead of 4 gears. Anyone know why?

Less rotating mass/friction? Not sure how that would hold up and stay together?
