Polypro Pinion set screw size

I haven't tried it firsthand but I was once told that those screws can be found as an old inch-sized AE part.

Edit: I'm dumb. I forgot I had the screw tray with metric only measurements instead of both... I can't confirm the size, for now.

By far the most common set screw size for pinions is 1/8 inch with a 4-40 pitch using a 1/16th allen wrench.
Not including metric 48p pinions (most often used by Tamiya) Some do use a metric set screw (Traxxas) that use a 1.5mm allen wrench..

Sorry to revive an old thread.
Can anyone confirm that a .050 driver fits the PolyPro pinion set screws? I have two of these and have tried two different high quality .050 drivers and both are a loose fit. I contacted 17.5RC and they insisted that .050 was the correct size and would not tell me the thread size of the set screw. I even took the pinions back to the shop I purchased them at. They tried every driver they had metric and standard and not a single one fit properly. Thanks in advance.
