I'm using the blue o-rings right now and they're pretty good. Also have a few sets with red (rubber?) o-rings and they're fine. Been told to avoid the X versions, so I have.

As for the rcmart shipping mess, I'm guessing it's just a matter of their shipping method, mixed with customs at my end. They're not shady. I'm thinking growing pains. They've gone from a tiny company that sold fishing supplies (yes, that's weird) to a world leader in rc parts in the space of 20 years.

Thanks David, I'll give this a go! Fyi, I followed Tony's recommendation to reduce rear camber, n that worked! Just that I've about -4 deg rear camber now.

Keep us posted on your progress. I have really similar problems. Weight in the rear only made it worse for me. Gonna try a ton of negative camber next.

Weight in the rear, even though it might seem to retard oversteer at first, really just makes the breakaway more violent and last longer. The trick when you are at this level of tuning is to lose front traction little by little, so the front doesn't dig in and throw the back around. Too stiff diffs make this difficult. Of course this is for outdoor asphalt racing, and only my $.02

what happens if you use the M05v2 chassis with the v1 motor plate? is it just a matter of moving the motor 2mm more one direction?

Yes.

Yes, but also be aware that the v1 alloy motor plate will interfere with the steering rack without modification. I hear the plastic one works fine.
