I'm definitely hearing conflicting information about 42mm motors and the 15T pinion. I'm about to start a build and would like to order a 16T pinion now if the 15T I have is going to require installing my motor up against the center brace.
It's right up against the brace, doesn't hurt anything, it's plastic. No dremel.

Cool...someone at the fb forum said there's a higher likelihood of the motor wiggling around if it's up against the chassis brace but I'll take your word for it.

Nooooooo!!! That's heresy!

But good luck selling it. I'm sure it won't be on the market long.

You didn't ask about price lol. Still for me, the Tekin combo is easier to incorporate on the chassis and granted the gen3 is new, if it's anything like the Gen2 then it's a solid unit.

If you don't mind the pre-wired nature of the MMX and you don't mind things getting super close, then the castle combo is a good 2nd place for me.

Considering you can nearly buy 2 Hobbywing combos for the price of the Tekin, I'd go Hobbywing, personally.

So hard on picking a combo - Spoke with Tekno and they said 2000kv on 4S would be perfect, and that's all I will ever run is 4S

I will stay with Tekin and HW as my choices, now it's just a matter of what combo????????
