Default Help needed: Motor Clarification needed

Bought some used brushless motors for on-road and off-road and need help on how to tell the difference in a regular motor, short stack, rotor differences etc. and what to use for on-road and off-road.

Was good with brushed motors but lots of variables and differences in the brushelss motors to me.

They are Reedy and Team Scream motors.

I believe you need a motor analyzer, but I will let the Pros on the board confirm.

Take and measure the stack of the stator w/calipers. Short stack would be 19.3mm. (roar legal minimum) Regular stators will be around 19.8mm or so. Rotors are color coded by manufacturers so check on their site and see what they are. Reedy rotors are marked w/part # on the pinion end shaft flat spot. Us oval guys prefer the S.S. motors. And off-roaders usually use the standard stator motors. Don't know what on-road guys use. I'd assume S.S. also.
