Only 5 months to go! We have picked up some great sponsors over the past few weeks and are in discussions with a few more (Stay tuned about that). The class list is finalized as well as a few logistical details but otherwise, teh race is moving along pretty well. A lot of Texans are going to be there (Ive heard anywhere from 10-20), a group from Califronia may be coming, as well as a group from Colorado. I also just received word that some racers from Germany are going to make the trip! Hopefully you will consider joining this melting pot of racers for a fun filled weekend of reminiscing and racing!

We have finalized the schedule. It will be included with the confirmation packet for the race. There will also be a few other nice surprises in there as well. Entries are now open:

1st class: $35
2nd class: $25
3rd class or more: $15

Any questions, you can email [email protected]

Only two months to go! Come be a part of this landmark race! (If you have a 10th or 12th scale pan car and you don't come you may not get another chance outside the ROAR Nationals)

take it to the top!

Ok guys,

After some VERY lengthy talks with my partners in San Antonio, here are a few amendments to the USPCC rules:

With the race about 1 month away I thought I would let you guys know about some general rules relating to this race:

1. 3300 max battery size. That is the final word on that

2. 4 cells for 12th scale, 6 for 10th scale (except 10th oval which runs 4)

3. Brushed motors only

4. The early entry date has been waived as well as the late fee. We will take entries until 9:30 AM May 14. But if you are one of the first 25 people to enter you will get a free t-shirt (We will be selling shirts at the track as well). It is $35 for the first class and $15 for each additional class

5. For 12th scale oval, it is 4 cells maximum and NASCAR bodies. Here is the explanation on that,

Quote:
The approved 1/12th scale NASCAR bodies for oval are not available (Bolink is out of business and Proline/Protoform 1/12 NASCAR bodies will not be made anymore). Because of this, the 1/12th scale class will be allowed to run what ever 1/12th scale body they can find to run. Supplies are very limited at best. The deviation request is to not require the use of an approved 1/12th scale oval body due to availability concerns of the effected drivers.

and here is the clarification on that for anyone who is confused, "ROAR is allowing non ROAR approved bodies because the approved bodies have been discontinued (protoform) or the company is no longer in business (bolink). The rule exception approveby ROAR said "any body" would be allowed was quickly interpreted by track owner Josh Cyrul.

Quote from track owner Josh Cyrul when asked if any body meant GTP: 'I'll just reply to that now - It must look like a Nascar'"

well the US Pan Car Championships are history. There were a lot of lessons learned from it but everything still worked out ok. We are now working on the 2006 race and all I will say is taht it is going to be bigger, better, and more competitive. Watch for information
