NASTRUCK race at Jackson R/C, Sat. June 4th
Hey guys, just wanted to give everyone a head's up about our upcoming NASTRUCK race on June 4th.
We run these things on a weekly basis every Wed. night and always have ourselves a blast, so we figured it was high time we busted one loose and had a special event for them. Racing under the lights on a Saturday night, ooh yeah!
Here's a quick rundown of how it's gonna happen:
Trophies will be awarded to the top ten finishers of the night, and the event's oh-so-gracious sponsor Trackside Hobbies will be there, chock full of parts and grub that will keep even the most voracious of appetites at bay.
Date: Saturday June 4th.
Location: Jackson R/C, Christopher Columbus Blvd, Jackson NJ. Click here for directions
Entry fee: $25.
Gates open at 4:00 pm.
Practice and registration from 4:30 to 6:30.
Drivers meeting at 6:45 and...
The first heat kicks off at 7:00.
We'll be running three rounds of qualifiers and then slam on into the mains.
Here's the specs on how you need to have your truck set up:
1/10th scale NASTRUCK series: Any ROAR legal 1/10th scale 190mm four wheel drive touring car chassis, and rubber tires only.
Motor: Trinity Street Spec motor only (part #SS2226), and must retain all stock parts. ie; you can only replace worn out parts with exact replacements. No aftermarket or non-spec parts are allowed. And yes, we will be checking the brushes, so please make sure they are the multi colored braided kind. :-)
Bodies: Bodies should be of a fleetside style and resemble the ones that are currently being run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. For more info about which bodies are acceptable, check out this thread on our message board. Since this is a night race please keep in mind that all bodies must be painted in such a manner that they can be easily seen by the other drivers around you. That means no black, dark blue, dark green etc. colored bodies unless they are heavily accented with bright colors.
This race is going to be a ton of fun, so come on out and enjoy a night of racing with your buddies, and hey, who knows, you just might wind up dragging home a trophy to boot!
