Their two strongest drivers over there are Cragg and Haatanen, so yeah, it's easy to look at it from that point of view. I'd like to see how they'd fare if they sent Cav and Rivkin again.

Cragg is as strong as anyone on carpet, sounds like it was his first meeting with the car, hadn't done any testing either.
The EOS is super competitive as well.

I saw a number of B64D's in person at the Reedy Race, and Dustin Evan's looked the best and most balanced to me. While good, I don't think Cav's looked as dialed in as his 44.3 last time I saw. There is still going to be some initial tuning to go on the new platform. I enjoy tinkering and tuning in new kits to find good setups... part of the fun to me.

That wasn't a knock on either of them. Just saying it'd be fun to see how the car did having 4 top guys there versus just two.

None of the team guys have had the car more than a week or so before Reedy. We have been testing with the car and it's getting faster all the time. The race at Raceem in Rockford was our second outing with it and it was on pace from the time we put it on the track. Neil just got his car last week so I'm sure he hasn't had much time on the car either.

Hey guys, I have a bunch of questions, I'm new to buggies and I'm hoping this is the right place. I had a gas touring car several years ago and am trying to get back in to RC.
I've got an RC10B64D on order. I'm trying to get the right stuff to complete it.
I've ordered a Reedy 8.5 motor bundled with their ESC. What spur gear should I be looking at?
Also, when I look at wheels on the associated site there are several options for the front and rear. Please excuse my noobiness but which are the "right" wheels for the front and back?
I'm just trying to make this thing a runner so I can learn how to drive it. Doesn't need to be completely dialed from the very beginning.

2: wheels part numbers: front 92095 white 92096 yellow. rear white 9695 yellow 9696. The wheels I listed are for 2.2 size tires. They are easier to install tires on. avoid 2.4 wheels and the 61mm wheels. The 2.4 and 61mm tires appear to being phased out by the tire manufactures. Team associated rear wheels are in short supply right now but that is no big deal if you can't find any I recommend Proline. The rear wheels are the same as the B6 and B44 series. Prolines yellow matches the Team associated Yellow as far as color goes, just make sure you get 2.2 wheels and tires. For the front you have to get Team Associated's wheels as the aftermarket companies are not making them yet. Again 2.2 wheels and tires for the front.
Hope that helps

I assume the kit will come with the metal gear diffs? And plastic gear diffs (part 92076) would be used to cut down rotational mass? They might be a nice option for 13.5 or stock class racing?

Damn car will miss the e-cash promotion at Tower which ends on Saturday.
