I would shoot Xray an email especially since it seems a wide spread problem.
If that doesn't work, I would look into some shim stock. You can pick up various thickness sheets at hobby shops in Aluminium, stainless, brass, and ordinary steel. Or you could try aluminium foil from the supermarket. You can get two thickness versions: the ordinary el cheapo one and heavy duty. Cut a strip to size, make sure it fits with the bearing in and then use retaining compound like Loctite or similar to glue the foil in (not the bearing). The foil will stay there for good.
You kinda only have one shot at this, so you have to be precise and careful. I use a sacrificial bearing, superglue the shim stock to it (before cutting anything), then cut nicely with a scalpel around the bearing, leaving the strip I need attached to the outer race. Drop the bearing in with retaining compound nicely smeared around the outside of the strip (make sure the bearing support is clean), let the retaining compound go off and set, then use flashback to dissolve the superglue and take out the sacrificial bearing, clean everything, done.
But like I said, I would take it up with Xray first.

Hey folks
Recently picked up a T4'17. So far the build has been amazing! Read about the steering bellcranks having a bit of slop in them - I picked up the Techra T4 steering bellcranks and they're snug around the bearings. I don't see or feel any slop in the steering system coming from the bellcranks. Might be worth checking out!

I see no xray set-up sheets that have a place to check as to what chassis is being used in that drivers car set-up. am I missing it? or am I just to ASSUME what chassis plate of the 3 are being used? RC America told me that all 17 cars coming into the USA are aluminum flex. As I only race my club track and it is low/medium grip asphalt, I am looking to see if anyone has been half way successful in using this chassis on asphalt before I just go spend another 100 on a graphite one.

Just finished mine yesterday... usual xray top-quality, everything fits nice except a couple of things
1- servo link rubs on top plate if using the servo-saver outer mid-hole... Have to use the outer side-hole to "cheat", but then throw could be an issue if not smartly thought out when you redo the whole thing
2- steering links spec in manual completely wrong. I ended up busting two ballcups as I was trying to get it as short as instructions
3- no center battery holding system, as I believe everyone's noticed by now. I ended up filing a parallelepidic plastic part that I servotaped on the chassis next to the motor mount, and voila.
Shock quality is superb, which I wasn't expecting (I remember when we used to stepchange our T1/T2/T3 performance by installing TRF shocks...)
Still, overall quality feeling is great. I miss instant belt-tension adjustment that my yokomo had, though.
Can't wait to christen it - raceday is saturday woo-hoo!
