CAUTION! This body requires a chassis with very short or modified shock towers to get the proper clearance and body ride height.
Mike, glad to hear that you may be able to breathe life into what is arguably the most beautiful, true to scale reproductions of an rc body ever produced IMHO.

[QUOTE=theproffesor;14714577]Mine is touching the top of my front towers on my EXO 6 and I had custom rear towers made by Bezerk RC to lower the mounting position of the rear post. It fits pretty well after that. It handles great and looks even better. It will really be between this and the PF Ford GT when it is released for TC chassis.

Nice paint scheme Professor
Take a look at Mike's chassis on the EVO6 thread, post 2283, second photo. The closeup of how he modified his front and rear shock towers to lower the body further onto the chassis can be seen. Mike are those custom shock towers you had made or did you just shape the existing towers to fit the Furai?

The amazing Mazda "Furai' from Speed Passion is wicked! The guy I airbrushed this one for wanted it mostly black and silver. I think the body looks half mechanical, half biological or insect based, so I went with an "Alien" kind of look. It is cool!

IndyHobbies painted this body for me a couple years ago and I still haven't been able to bring myself to pop holes in it and run it. I has been hanging in my workshop above my bench for a couple years. It's even more insane to see the detail in person. IndyHobbies does a great job with painting bodies!

If that's allowed back in then you might as well allow the McAllister DP bodies again. At least they are actually racecars and turned laps in a race. The Mazda Furi was nothing more than a project car, even if it was awesome. Either way it will fit nicely on my new Project 4X, I'm just saying.

why do people complain so much?....so many different bodies to choose from and people still have issues?...I simply don't get it...pick whats on the list and quit bashing the class by constantly complaining...Rob and Kevin has got to be sick of it all....I know I am....

I complain because I bought McAllister DP Riley and DP Corvette bodies, painted them up, used them each once and then they are taken OFF the list. Cost me quite of bit of time and money and now I have 2 bodies I can not use. And now I see that they are allowing other bodies that are just as slick as the DP bodies. Terrible way to run a series. Sorry.
