What's with the change to 7.6V? Is this more likely to make a whole heap of batteries redundant?

To accommodate the high voltage chemistry batteries?

The 8.4v end voltage is not changing, just nominal pack voltage. Both types of packs, 7.4 and 7.6, must stop charging at 8.4v

Anyone run the new reedy 17.5 Mach 3 standard (non short stack) motor that comes stock with the 12.5 rotor?

Just wondering if the performance difference between this motor and the short stack motor with the 12.5 is much difference on the high grip carpet?

Just looking to save a few bucks unless the performance advantage is that much better with the short stack.

That's the motor I had been running up till the last race. I put in the short stack with a 12.5 rotor. But the non short stack was faster and had more torque.

I use to run blue rear double blue front on the old crc gray carpet. It worked fine but the car isn't aggressive enough for me. Blue, blue worked well just hold on. Green rear Blue fronts or double blue front would work better. Just depends on the amount of turn in you want.

Thanks chad508.I running green and d-blues now and the car is a little on the edgeey side,When we do r warm u laps be the race my car has alot of steering,to much really, and can spin it out.after a few laps the tires come alive and car is ok,just a on the egde.If I soften the rear with a lighter spring and may be drop the oil down from 30 to something lighter I am thinking would help take some of the edge off and balance the car a little better.Whats your thoughts on this move and again thanks for the help.Have a good one.

if the carpet is from the batch that fuzzes up then go to the double blue front.. lilac/team purple gets sticky and the fuzz will stick to the tire. if its really bad try green rear with blue or double blue front
