Xray T4'17

I can personally confirm that in practise they were all (Bruno, Alex and JJ) switching between std and ARS cars each run. Mainly as I was pitting alongside the Xray team all week.
Come Control practise, qualifying and finals (with a single exception) it was ARS only.
Did hear some rumours that there was a quick switch to the standard rear end on at least one car for A3, but can't confirm that for sure mainly as I was watching finals whilst the cars were being prepped.
The general feeling was that the ARS was quicker as it gave better low speed steering for the tighter sections of the track. And the grip level was high enough to help the consistency. So most Xrays in the pits tended that way.

I have seen the 17 up close, but it's not my place to say what's changed. I'll leave that to the officals announcements.
And yes.. for ARS the alloy 0° hubs are the go.

That's kinda funny that you were tossing up between the two and a lack of visuals of a minor update swayed your decision.
The T4'16 is actually a "newer" car than the A800
The '17 isn't late, they are just doing a good job on keeping it under wraps until the actual release date.

Yea I didn't get the report on that in A2. Knew he finished 7th but wasn't sure how .
In A3 Alex got loose Inn the sweeper and NO one behind him was giving him a inch to get strait ... I hate it for him to have that happen . I heard there was a less traction on that and of the track in A2,A3 causeing a lack of traction with Alex's setup ... But I wished they could have had a restart in A3 after that 1st,2nd,& 3rd turn Malay....
But does Scotty every have a restart ?

During the second round of finals the wind really picked up (there was a big threat of heavy rain) whioch blew a LOT of dust etc over the track and reduced the grip.
As other finals ran before the third A main there was a slightly cleaner racing line, but it was very narrow and the grip dropped a lot if you went off it. All of which conspired to cause issues.
