Run tony blocks snowbird setup. Alloy chassis not needed for 17.5... But helps a ton in 13.5 and mod. I ran this base setup in 13.5 at mile high.

Thanks guys. I ordered 2 smc 1cell speedos. Killer deal going on right now! And I can't speak for everyone, but.... if you don't have an aluminum mcfactory chassis at our track you just about guarantee that you'll be in the b or c main of 17.5 blinky. I know my personal results after switching was .3 per lap faster on average.
For the Roche with our USA spec carbon ... You can run 17.5 easily.. And maybe faster than an alloy chassis.
It's all setup. You just have a very narrow setup window with the carbon on the new carpet in 17.5. Aluminum just dumbs everything down and makes it very easy and consistent to drive. I know I shouldn't talk since I've been having my butt handed to me lately since I switched to the new Yokomo chassis. But I do share a fast lap of 7.9. So it's gotta mean something. We'll see at the next race. I have a few ideas on what needs to be done.
