None of Trinity's white cased Lipo's are legal, problem solved

I wasn't trying to stir anything. I wish we could regulate the "special" batteries and motors. And my Trinity Certified are orange, but mine are old now, lol. As for motors, Trinity does use a different back plate for their "certifieds", but what about the other motor tuners, do they?

Yes, this car is packed with a lot of features. Definitely a big step up from the last model.

As for tire choices, the winners of this years Japan nationals used...

Modified class - GXX 35 front and rear.
Stock class - Team Bomber Silver front and GXX 35 rear.

Team Yokomo were using their newly designed double pink foam.
Morotech foam YR-F35TS, YR-R35CTS, YS-F37CTS, YR-R35CTS.
Team Bomber Silver compound for the front and rear.
JFT "S" 35 front and rear

What type of foam are the GXX compound tires? That's not something we are familiar with here in the US. Is it basically just a natural compound like a pink or a double pink?

I tried asking the Kimihiko Yano guys about that foam a couple months back - never got a response. Might not have had the correct contact info, though. I know Marc R used the GX 35 foam to win 2014 Worlds, but not sure what the GXX evolution has changed...

I think Max K has tried one of them (not sure if GX or GXX) if you want to ask him.

I think you can just buy it from Kimihiko Yano, although I think it is only available as donuts, so you will need to glue yourself. I wanted to ask them to be sure they would ship to the US before I purchased - but the lack of response scared me.

The JFT S foam has no equivalent here in BSR world, either - but you can order that stuff from either Xenon/JFT or thru Gravity. I would highly recommend it if you are running on the old CRC carpet or running 13.5 on the new carpet. It is super fast for all classes, but 17.5 is almost all purple stripe now and the compounds are really hard to drive in mod, so 13.5 or 10.5 seems to be about the right sweet spot.
