Ah the problems of misinterpretation...
He did not mean "The Answer is really simple: any flat chassis car" but "A really simply constructed kind of flat chassis car."
Now you can both stop flaming each other.

Pretty much. It's amazing that a skinny pan car with weird long front arms ended up being the best way to build an F1 car. Especially after people tried IRS, gear diffs, and such.
It would be nice to have the new X12 rear pod, but since we aren't resetting ride ht often on rubber tires, the old pod may be better.
Is anyone trying to remove up and down play in the pods main pivot ball?
Mine has a hair of up and down play, but no side to side or front/back play. So I'm assuming it's fine. And the center pivot plastic parts seem purpose built so that we can't sand them down for a tighter fit.

Try to replace it with an AE pivot ball, takes some slop out.

Here they are:

Just to know, we've released it mid April, so the first "important" race where the diff can be used by several drivers (from top ones to Joe Average) was the recent ETS rd4.
I'm happy to say that the diff was used by several drivers.
Jacques Libar Jacques driving his Roche equipped with Fenix Gear Diff take the 5th place, Matteo Berlincioni 9th, Jeremy Limoges that win the B-main, Michael Schroeder win the C-main, Giacomo Moretti win the E-main. Down 'til the G-main, there were Fenix Gear Diff in every main
