Anyone had any first hand experience with the Picco EMX 21 and the new Picco Otto 21?

What are the differences?

I read the Otto is designed for the new 16% rules, and it has a new carb, but would like some feedback.

Thanks,

It's manufactured by a different company. The technical details i don't know, but since it's a difference manufacturer it needs a different Efra homologation number

The Sette and Otto are the Picco with the lower carburetor. The case of the motor is different and the carb sits 5mm lower. The carburetor neck is also 5 mm shorter.

The internals of the Sette are the same as the EMX-WC and it's a seven ports. The internals of the Otto are the same but the Sleeve has 8 intake ports.
According with my personal testing, the eight port compared to the seven port makes more bottom end power. At the the same time, the lower carburetor configuration enables more bottom end power.

By no means the EMX-WC needs to be considered outdated. Picco has just expanded the line giving us different power bands options. We have to remember that in some countries and in the international events, 16% fuel is mandatory, so a little bit more torque in those conditions can make a difference.

You cannot label one for a certain nitro percent or not. I was just trying to explain the reason why they went this direction. You can use any of the motors with 16% or 25%. In my previous post, i explain, according to my testing, what the engine do. If you need or like more torque or the opposite, with Picco now you have options.

Yes i have. The motor has a lot more power ovaerall and the top end is insane. I use it with the 2679 pipe and header combo(PIC9183).

Scotty Gray and myself finished this weekend 1-2 at the Miami GP with the EMX-R

2678 it's a shorter pipe. it gives better rpm but you loose quite a bit of torque
