Why? They didn't bother with making the RC8B3 not look like a Mugen

Nobody knows what an Xray looks like, wasn't on the Podium at the EOS race.

I really like the change from clay to carpet here. The thing running offroad and onroad is with the jumps there's a good 5 feet past the landing ramps of extra carpet to not eat up the base "onroad" carpet. The lowes carpet is cheap, durable and once some rubber is laid down during onroad the grip is impressive with a little SXT 3.0 on the tires.

Honestly with how difficult maintaining tracks and the costs to rebuild layouts can be, carpet is the only way to go to keep things profitable. Plus car maintenance is a breeze.

Next step for the XRay? A 3 gear laydown just like a B6... Unless they release a XB4 / XB2 hybrid. I bet their star driver has suggested this.

I dont disagree. But racing offroad carpet seems wrong. but i would run indoor carpet and have a profitable indoor facility, than bash in the back yard because my tracks closed.

Is 702 a spike tire (Pin Points) or slick tire (Primes) carpet track? Track appears to be an Ozite on-road style carpet?

The reason I ask is because our local indoor on-road club added a 2wd off-road class by putting some jumps on their Ozite track. Originally the rules allowed spiked carpet tires, but the club felt the spikes were harming the Ozite carpet so they've switched to a sauced slick tire rule.

Will a sauced slick tire on an Ozite track generate B6 super high grip?

Agree with that, but the thing that appeals to me with carpet is having new tracks more frequent. Our indoor track changes about three or four times a year which burns people out. The first few weeks of new layouts driver participation spike then drops off once people get bored it seems. I am thankful to have anything though, local track is 10 minutes from my house with a fully stocked hobby shop.

(also would not hurt my feelings not cleaning dirty tires)

I don't want to be "Debby downer" but there are plenty of carpet/turf vs. dirt threads we could dig up to discuss that topic. And feel free to do so! At this point it's a worthy discussion. BUT I don't think we need to clutter this thread with it.

Europeans need the Carpet and Astro Turf version regular B6.
The B6D is the dirt version for americans.
I am an American. I do browse oople.com occasionally to see what those Europeans are doing with thier cars. Im freinds with alot of those oople.com people on facebook.
Graham North is one of them. I find those guys entertaining..
Even those guys know who I am. Even thou ive never met them in person or anything.

Except for the fact that Coelho won 4wd at the EOS Race, driving an Xray, great point.

But this is a 2wd thread, hence his point.

Coelho is very talented and congratulations to him on his win and overall championship.

Now back to the B6 line of cars.
