R21 Shimo edition, anybody ordered it?
Thoughts about the combo?

R2102 advertised at A-main 50$ less than the R2101, and in stock.

It's an R2102 just with a different scheme. The muffler is the same as you can buy - T-2080SC, just with Shimos logo.

Does anyone here run the OS speed r2101 sp edition?

I have not seen any, I think they are more prevalent in Europe and Asia.

I have seen this motor run at our club race and this past weekend at the regionals. It is a fast motor, pretty well balanced bottom and top.

Has anyone tried using the additional button head in the R2102. Any noticeable difference if used from standard button head? How are you shimming it?

I had the pleasure of talking to Mr. Shimo over the weeken at the KO Pro Po Race. Mr. Shimo wanted me to share info about the OS motor, when the motor is broken in and ready to tune. When the motor is broken in, the piston and sleeve should not have any pinch when motor is cold. Nova Rossi motors usually have a pinch when cold after break in. Make sure the OS motors have no pinch when cold, only have compression.

Was he running the latest pre production model of new engine?
