Yes, the manual says you should bind and you will always can't go wrong by doing it.
Trust me on this, I have installed more MX-V than you I assume? All where binded from factory.
I have been in this hobby for many many years, don't try to explain you should bind your radio to receiver, because it's the normal way. HOWEVER, the MX-V comes factory binded. All of the MX-V sets I have installed.
And offcourse the manual says you should bind. To avoid any confusion or user error, they say it in the manual.
And yes, Sanwa/Airtronics M11/M11x/M12/M12s/MT-4/MT-4S/Exzes-X/Exzes-Z should be binded manually, but like I said before, quote: I personally think Sanwa factory binds the MX-V set because of the fact it's a budget radio set and maybe especially suitable for novice users. I think they want to sell it as much as plug and play as possible, maybe to avoid any warranty claims that are just beginners lack of experience and skills, failing to bind their radio set the proper way.

Govert! You been on RCtech just as long as I have. I've been in the hobby that all manufactures weren't there yet, they were all like pan cars. Going through AM, FM & to your ghz radios. I know FCC Freq cuz I'm a HAM operator.
Your opinion is yours and I'll listen. But I read also, manual says necessary to bind. It all in black & white understand what was read. That's why Sanwa and Futaba are proprietary, they're different in way they not compatible.

Guys, relax! Of course the manual tells you how to bind new receivers, even if the one supplied with the transmitter is already pre-bound. The manual needs to tell you how to bind additional receivers, doesn't it? I believe I did not have to manually bind the receiver I got with my Sanwa M12. First time I had to look that up in the manual was when I got my second receiver for another car.
And just because the manual says (correctly) that a receiver must be bound to the transmitter before it can work, it does not mean, that the factory did not do that for you already on the one supplied in the set.
So you're both right: it needs to be bound, but that can also be done by factory (if you get them as a set) already.
So, much ado about nothing, as a famous writer stated long ago.

Dirk we're relaxed. Just understanding what was read by manuals, experience +. this and anyone on theads of RCtech does give out opinions, Some ppl takes it wrong. opinions take what is worth. listen or don't. I'm do things differently and how I believe is correct. I run 20 models on 2Airtronics Radio and run them simultaneously racing with friends with no problems.
I don't try to get opinions right or wromg, I listen to threada on here, and give my opinion.
