I ran a shorty sideways in front of the motor for the first time tonight. I liked it a bit better than the side saddle pack I had been running the past 3 weeks. I had to hack up the stock battery brace to make it work and put some foam in front of the battery to slide it in. Won the first 2 heats and got second the third heat. My track is high bite carpet and I have plenty of steering with carvers up front.

How is the 3 gear running in the SC6s? Has anyone tried it yet?
I am finishing up a build for 17.5 and I want to add it to the mix now that it is really easy. I am hoping to have to add some weight.

I ran it for awhile but went back to the 4 gear. Lost too much rear grip with the three gear on our track.

Hey I'm thinking about getting this truck. Anybody have this truck that has experience with the 22sct? My main issue with the 22sct is it's lack of steering, big turning radius.which stinks at the tight indoor track I race at. How does the sc6 compare steering wise. I am interested in the mid motor version coming from a 22sct rear motor setup. Thanks!

Thank u for replying! Lol what's the main maintenance? Also with the rtr setup with the orion Installed with Team Orion’s dDRIVE one-piece ESC and brushless motor, is that a competitive setup?

I can’t comment on the dDRIVE. I’ve never seen or tried one… On the maintenance, it just requires a little more time going through between runs and more spares. The most common problems are bent front spindles, front skid plate, rear hub bearings, leaky shocks and idler gear issues in mod class if running mid motor. It’s a fragile platform but I feel that’s why it’s so nimble for a SC.

Look like the idler gear issue can never be solve. Honestly this SC6 Is a lovely truck but it just don't let me run in peace if the Idler gear keep stripping
end up i have been running my old Durango DESC210R more often then my SC6
Boring I Just strip another idler gear...Sucks.

I agree and that's why I'm going to give the 3 gear MM a try in the SC6. I also have a DESC and take it every week as a backup but it's always about .5 seconds slower per lap on a 20s lap average. I tweak the DESC every week but just can't get it as fast. I always take the DESC out first in practice and think it's pretty decent until I run the SC6.
