Is there anything special I need to know about the HPS shocks as in building technique?

That is the Oval version of the L2 with a lazy-mans' battery mounting system.

I have been racing gas and electric sedans for the last few years. The local track is putting down some traction compound (grap pop) and foam tires seem to be working.
I have a RC10L3T that I want to try. Does anybody have a setup and recommended tires to use on a sealed asphault with grape pop parking lot road course.

The kit setup is where you want to start.
That should be:
Green compound front and rear tire,
30wt shock oil in all three shocks,
silver shock springs,
front ride height: 4mm, rear 4.5mm,
neutral toe angle,
camber: -1degree, set this so your tires wear flat,
caster shimms: one on each side of the upper suspension arm,
stock front springs (.020),
set preload on your center shock untill your rear pod lower plate is level with the main chassis, with the car with everything installed (battery, motor, electronics).
traction compound: rear full coating, front half of the tire, working your way from the inside to the outside, while spinning your tire. Let it soak in for around 15 to 30 minutes, when you use traction compound ofter on the same tires, this takes less and less time.
General tips:
switch front wheels left to right every other run to make them wear equal.
Keep track of your ride height and rollout, and adjust your car accordingly.
Let us know how it goes, maybe we can help you further. Anyway we're always interested to hear from more people driving these land-missile.

I took 6 months of racing off completly. I am back and have raced my wide pantoura, or Road Kill 10 for the last 3 or 4 races. I am doing terrible. I will probably switch back to the L2.5. It handled better last year. The track is new and much smaller. Its about right for a 1/12 scale so I am thinking mabye even an L3 insted.
My driving skills went right out the window.
They are actually thinking of starting a Pan car class because oval at this track has died out.
Nice to be back
