Hi guys, my mo3 keeps rolling over when i installed a type s and 20t pinion. any suggestions? i have low friction shocks and use light blue springs rear and light yellow front with medium oil. they're not the super stiff onroad springs.

Much stiffer springs on front, soft springs on rear, use orings on the shock shafts (inside the shock) to reduce droop.
Check www.tamiyausa.com for their m03L article. Its not an m03 but its good advice.

im sure someone has experimented with the MO4M with sedan tires.... i know the big tires are limited to the 17T for TCS, but do they make up for it?
i just like the looks of the Alfa, and would like to run it in Memphis... but that track is usually quite large, so gearing would def be a factor....
if not, i guess its back to the MO3!
anyone know the internal ratio of these chassis? David W.? i figure if anyone knew, it would be you!

Turbo--2 weeks ago we ran a Miata with the 24mm tires on it for an Enduro. As a disclaimer up front there is no way that it will make TCS legal.
That said the car was dialed we also ran a 21T pinion to try to get our rollout equal with the sedans we raced with.
As for TCS you will have to run the 19T pinion with the 60D tires and the 17T with the 26mm tires. If the track is tightened up at all the 04M will come back in terms of value but if it is wide open then you will have to run the 03 or 03L.
Hey Dave sorry just saw the thread pop up to the top again. Looks like we are going to have a Mini revival this weekend in Vancouver for the TCS there. Troy is going up, myself and Tom from Borgfeldt should be fun. I wish I could business is just too crazy I am having a hard time just to get to club races let alone think about any big races.

true.. i was kinda hoping with the 17T/big 26mm sedan tires it might even out, but i wasnt sure. i have the Boxster and BMW M bodies, so they would be legal on the 26mm's.
i will probably take both anyway, just in case.
any setup tips for a parking lot surface on the 04? shock and spring, mainly, for a good starting point.
thanks for the gearing help!!!

just a few questions about the tyres,
on a outdoor track with stock standard mini (with swaybars),
which of the following tyres (or a combination of them) provides the best performance?
#50683 60D Radial
#50684 60D M-Grip Radial
#53254 60D S-Grip Radial
#53340 60D Type-A Slick
I'm using M-grip at front and S grip at rear and the car handles quite well. I was told if i use something more sticky at front the car will flip easily at corners.
How's the Type-A slick compare with the S-Grip? which one is more grippy? and does the Type-A last longer the S-grip?

yes... so yeah i need some people here to tell me what you can run on a stock mini (with stock shocks at standard height, silver swaybars front and rear) that gives you max traction without flipping at corners.
Oh the slick is smaller in diameter? then it's no good for me as we can't change the gearing and i don't want to lose the top speed.
Can anyone confirms this?
