I usually compress new springs 15 or 20 times all the way down before installing them. If you don't break them in the ride height tends to settle a bit over the first dozen or so runs.

Take the springs off and squees em down some and it will settle the ride height in.

After a few runs the springs do tend to soften a bit as they lose some tension. When a spring like this compresses, it actually is twisting the wire. Its like a torsion bar setup in a real car.

I finally got mine on the track today. I really didn't want to...last car I ran. It looked too pretty to scratch the chassis and get dirt on. Anyway, the car handled great. It was easier to drive than 1/8 bug and trug (until I got used to trug) and I thought it handled a noticeably better than v1. The nose dive is less severe. You will still get it if you decel at the top of a jump but you can correct it if you catch it early enough. The rear end is soft to touch, but I can't say it presented any problems on the track. It handled the whoops pretty good. It is still plenty tough. I had my share of mishaps as expected running on a track you never ran on before. I like this truck and I'm glad I upgraded. I'm ready to race tomorrow. May get video if I have time to figure out gopro.

Had a great first race with the .3 yesterday. I had yet to setup droop and ride height till I got to the track, so unfortunately I had to make due with a front riding too high. I am running box stock setup except for pistons and shock oil. Pistons are Imbue V2 5-hole, and started off with 32.5f/27.5r. Imbue pistons need some time to break-in, so that's why I went a little too soft.

As far as the truck, totally impressed. Track was a smaller outdoor, that's normally grooved, but slick. Yesterday the traction was way up. Truck was a little loose, due to the front springs no doubt. There are several smaller jumps, almost kickers that I was fearing due to previous experience with the original 410. No problems at all, the truck jumps great, no nose-down tendencies. I was most impressed with the correctability in the air, able to bring the nose up or down.

Unfortunately the other real fast guy had some issues all day, so it was an easy sunday drive to TQ and win. Looking forward to the next one!

I'm almost done with mine. Had 2 of the .1 versions. Anyone find the stock spring selection a little strange? Green front with Black rears? I normally run high bite indoor clay & run green front and rear. Seems strange to run 2 step stiffer in the front than in the rear.

Outdoor i normally run the old stock springs --black front, pink rear. The quality is top notch & several minor improvements make this kit even better to assemble than the previous version.

Buy a D413: close enough . Tough little buggy!

The geometry of the .3 has been changed quite a bit over the original, which is why it is setup this way. Although, in the future you may want to go up on your springs if your track has enough grip.

A lot of guys are just switching the stock pistons out for 6x 1.6 or 6x 1.5 s and running something like 35/30 for oil, and running the rest of the stock setup. That's probably the best place to start

Is the Bittydesign "Black Hawk" body a good fit on the Tekno SCT410.3?

How much of a necessity is the aluminum servo horn? I've never needed one on any other 2wd 1/10 car.
