I have always gone with breaking them in with what you will run in it normally. But I know each manufacturer lists different methods

5% Nitro break in fuel is what I use. If you intent to use 30% Nitro fuel for a .21 engine, I would recommend adding a 0.1 or 0.2mm shim between the sleeve and heatsink. The default needles setting for Novarossi is on the rich side. You should run your car for a few tanks before leaning the needles.

Most guys break their nitro engines in with the percentage fuel that they intent to run through it. I use 30% in my onroad engines so that is what I break them in. It is a mental thing with the vast majority of us. Research a few different ways that others do it and pick the one that best suits your comfort level.

Get 1 liter 10% RTR fuel. It contains 12 to 14% oil which is more important than the nitro content. But why would you use expensive fuel (high nitro content) when you do not need the performance?
