I am looking at either the Hi Tech Ultima or X2. The Ultima would work great with one power supply, and meet all my current needs, but the X2 is a beast! The price difference isn't that much, but I can get a great deal on the Ultima from Tower.

I would think that the X2 would run fine on one PS as it is 200w x 2 and the PS is 550w. That is plenty of headroom left. Are you charging more than 2s packs?

For now I am just charging 2S, but if the outdoor bug bites I would probably use 3s or greater. I think my best bet would be to get the X2 and set it up for one PC power supply, and mod it later if needed.

You can't use a 24V supply with either of the Hitec X2 chargers, X2 400 or X2 Ultima.

So I would have to find a system that does allow for it. I can get a good price on the Hi Tech chargers from Tower. There is no way my current system would do well keeping up with outdoor events.

Can you use 12 volts from one pc power supply, and 6 volts from another?
