Help with Spektrum SRS4210 - How to disable AVC?
#16
So it seems this is the only info I can find on the AVC issue... Can't seem to disable the darn thing and no AVC setting in the menu. Did I miss something?
1. Bind with both plugs
2. Remove Bind plug
3. Setup ESc

Just tried on Kraton with dx4s
If you go to AVC setting
and change STATE: from Act to Inh you will turn off AVC
Obviously vehicle should be off when changing settings .
Mine was Act and AVC worked, I turned off vehicle switched receiver to Inh ,
turned vehicle back on AVC was off.
The only reason to use a bind plug to turn off is if your racing and they dont allow it.
That way you cant re turn it on from your transmitter ,only by removing bind plug will it
be reactivated .

I too had problems with this receiver. I remember needing to caliberate each time regardless of AVC or no-AVC. And often times lost bind with my DX4S for no apparent reason. Spektrum was no help either when I called.

Like I said I tried it and it did what it was supposed to do
My Receiver is bound and calibrated correctly NO BIND PLUG INSTALLED
and I can turn on and off AVC thru my dx4s transmitter .
So It works as it should .
So why it doesn't work if set up correctly is a defective trans or receiver
So YES IT WORKS THAT WAY

So switch it to Inhibit, lift the car in the air and move it side to side....the front tires will turn also.

You are correct, turning the gain values to 0 will effectively turn AVC off though.

So I'm a noobie to the avc. I was just mucking around with the avc option and I've never used it before so I have some ?s. With it active, mine seems to steer into the turn instead of trying to keep the car straight. Is there a way to change this? Or is this just what it's supposed to do?

I know this is a Super old thread but I have a question about the RX with the AVC i just picked up a used DX4S and it came with the SRS4210 rx and it says in the manual NOT to use non digital with that RX cause can make analog servos over heat but if i stick the bind plug in the disable slot and bind it with it and leave that in the RX and leave it INH in the TX can i run non digital servos and be okay ?
Thanks
Thanks

To disable AVC you have to go through this crazy sequence of calibration, and you have to do it exactly right for it to actually disable avc. There is a video on YouTube that shows you exactly what to do to disable avc.
If you disable avc, analog servos should work fine.
