NEW Serpent 12th scale
#19

From Rc Racer Mag from the UK
"Serpent is about to release a new version of the 1:12-scale S120 platform called the LTR. The focus on the new car has been to develop front-end adjustability, a new centre pivot system, shock absorber length and position, as well as overall flex dynamics. Look out for more news including an interview with designer Michael Salven. The planned release date for kits is mid-February 2015 although the S120 LTR will be on show at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg next week."

Yeah nothing revolutionary there but the easily adjustable upper arm length is a nice touch. I suspect the "Innovative Steering Blocks" are probably a Xenon style angled axle to allow steering axis inclination adjustments but I haven't seen it so I have no idea.

It does look that way
Not hugely different but it looks like the upper arms have inserts and they ditched the pillow ball upper arm the old suspension had.
It looks like a better solution to center the rear pod than what others have used with the slotted lower pivot ball mount. The car will automatically adjust not just when assembled but as the pod moves. As the links twist the pod will move forward so the links won't bind...come to think of it that would completely eliminate axle walk as well. It's almost a floating pod system but not quite. The more I think about it the more interesting it is.
