In my opinion, the servo speed is highly overrated and the latency of TX and RX underrated.
I don't see a difference so lucky me, I don't need to worry about signal latency. :-)

It really does in fact make a big difference. When I was ready to move up from my rtr radio I purchased a dx3r pro on here from a guy without seeing what the guys at my local track were doing first. I liked my spektrum servo's and I got a great deal on it. It came with 5 or 6 receivers and a lipo. It was super easy to use and I loved it. I used it for about 6 months and I got kicked out of rookie class, then intermediate. Then I'm running at the back of the pack with the fast stock drivers, and I'm trying to figure out ways to keep improving. Everyone at my track uses Airtronics radio's so I start asking about them. The fastest driver at our track is a friend of mine and employee there, so I talked to him about it. He told me about a latency test that some people had done on one of these forums prob the same one that "mtpocketsracing" was talking about above. He said that Spektrum radios had the slowest response times and that even an mt4 was quicker than my radio. I was a little upset to hear this. I loved my radio. I have done some searching for the latency tests and have not found them yet, but I do trust my friend from the track so I took his advice. I picked up an m11x from a guy at the track. at first it was alien. It's big and heavy and I still don't know how to use it completely. The spektrum was much more user friendly. I tell you what though I can tell a big difference in responsiveness. The entire first week I had it I totally sucked and kept stuffing myself on the pipe at every corner because I was used to the lag. Once I became familiar with how fast it was my driving was instantly better. Now I just need another 400 bucks in receivers to be back where I was with the Spektrum. lol

Just one thing I have noticed (with off-road at least) is that I can't tell a lick of difference between the Airtronics FH2 and FH3 receivers. The FH3 are supposed to be faster, but I have both and they feel exactly the same. You can get used FH2 RXs for around $30-35 if you keep your eyes peeled. It's a great way to save money and stay with Airtronics. I'm actually thinking about selling the FH3 RXs I have and use the funds elsewhere.

Interesting topic here. I have been running the Spek DX4S for a couple years and the only issue I have had was glitch problem with one of my cheaper receivers. That being said I just ordered a Airtronics MT4-S 40th. Anniversary edition, so will see how it compares! I did this mainly for local track support ( I suck at setup,lol...) as it seems 70%+ run Airtronics, its OCRC...
