Default Android App for Tekin Hotwire

Well..... crap
I have 4.2.1

I am still waiting:

*Android OS 4.2+ has a known issue with USB connectivity. Future Android OS updates are rumored to correct this issue.

But I would like to hear how it worked out for the rest of you.

On the + side my phone plan is up and I was going to trade in after Christmas is behind me... but then again, what are the chances of a 4.1.x being on the market right now?

Maybe the update will be ready soon.

What device?

Did you verify your OTG cable isn't the issue?

To do so take a USB jump/thumb drive with a few audio files on it, plug it into the OTG cable, can you play the files from the drive?

Thanks for the reply.

Samsung Galaxy 4
Would that make a difference? it's running Android software. And I checked cable. Everything looks good.

Was on Tekin website, it said the App. is good for Android software up to 4.4 and I got 4.4.2 thinking thats the problem. Did email them, wanting on a reply.
Will post if that's it.

I have the same phone. S4 running 4.4.4 actually.

That's not the issue. We need to check a few things.

What Software is in the esc you're using?

Go into your app and hit the 3 square "settings" icon, what version is installed? it's under "about"

Plug the ESC into the hotwire first, then the hotwire into the phone. It seems you need to do it in that order for it to work.

Default Galaxy Tab 4 NO OTG

Well it looks like the problem is no OTG on my device
Crappy way to find out what "OTG" is. On-The-Go
So I bought a Android device and Hotwire for nothing.
That's Galaxy Tab 4 7" Wi-Fi
Model# SM-T230NYKAXAR
