Yup! Some people don't want to acknowledge this even occurs on some brand cars and try and blame others acknowledgement of it on poor driving ability.

So true, and then wonder why so many certain brand cars are for sale.
Even if it was poor driving ability, shouldn't the car have enough adjustments to help those with less ability or having the manual explaining the adjustments offered?
That's why I made this small work, a general guide to know what your car is trying to do and what adjustment should I start to change if I'm after a certain driving characteristic.

Having studied a bit more about what is most felt when changing setup parameters in a car I decided to bring back roll distribution (edit -done-). The next version will also feature roll bar stiffness calculator (edit - almost there, hang on buddies).
I still haven't forgot the glossary and I am working on a video to explain how to fill the spreadsheet.

I would like to thank all of you, that wrote to me either openly on this thread or by email or PM. Without you I wouldn't have the energy to take this project to fruition. Thank you.

That being said, there was a ninja update (v1.4) and now there's the penultimate update, v1.7. Please use this version ASAP! Now you will be greeted with a new sheet regarding sway bar calculations. Sorry to have non SI units but it's easy to convert and I will be doing that the next days. It was a good year to me where I learned so much about suspension design that I feel confident enough to design my own car and mod/setup any car to be better. I'm happy with the current version, it is almost complete as stand-alone programs and has anything a racer needs.
The numbers to watch are: in "Shocks" sheet Recommended Oil/piston hole size and if springs are balanced (it will say if they aren't); in "Weight Transfer" Peak weight bias and Roll distribution. This one is very important, close to zero and the car will roll neutrally, negative values the rear is rolling more and positive values the front is rolling more.
As you can see, I have a 32.6 difference, the front rolls more but the roll couple is different front to rear. Usually more in the rear and visually you can see the front rolling a bit more but wouldn't say 32.6% more than the rear. As always there's a margin of error as small as it may be

Onto the whole JQ THE Car deal, I knew it all along it wasn't the rear rolling too much or the RC height too low. THE Car behaved like a typical front end biased car, meaning the front twisted the rear, and not the rear twisting the front. Changing front roll center height and roll stiffness presented me a car that is neutral at all times and can be tuned to all situations. I unlocked hidden performance thanks to this simple spreadsheet. You can too, because in the end all cars are capable of performance so close that the intangibles matter more.

Any problem you have regarding filling the sheet or understanding it just reach me.

Nice . superb work.
I make calculation as well on excel just for the springs but one thing I noticed is to take into account the unsprung weight (the wheel+tire and half the cvd/arm/camber link).
In 1/10th 2wd cars I discovered that on my b5m the rear is then lighter by 193gr and the front by 151gr (42gr bias). 320gr of the 1550gr car is unsprung to my surprise it's quite a lot!

Merci monsieur!
Yes the sheet does take unsprung weight into account since Lite v1, that was one flaw of the first versions, they didn't use unsprung weight in the equation.

That's 20% of the weight, doesn't sound bad. But are you trying to reach a certain ratio?
