I didn't switch from a JQ, but I had both the SCT410 and EB48 (sold the SCT410 when track closed). They are nearly identical which is great from a spare parts perspective. The EB48 really is awesome, as is the SCT410.

Check out my YouTube channel (sig) for lots of SCT410 race videos with commentary on setup, etc.

I'd second this, my serpent 811e cvds are still in good shape after more than a hundred runs while I've already gone thru a dozen of cvds on my eb48 and nb48...

Well, I had the opportunity to meet John, Matt, and Lutz over the weekend at the Badlands here in SC. Great crew of guys. I've meet a number of the big names over the years, but hadn't yet me Lutz. Let me tell you what, this dude is definitely what the hobby should be about for most of the big sponsored guys. Helping out, volunteering, and probably one of the fastest turnmarshals out there regardless of it's the F main, kids class, or otherwise. I always thought it was a good idea after Tekno brought him onboard, but even more now watching his presence and attitude at the track. You can see the big tekno area they had setup across the track.

Some of the mains had brutal starts (mine included having lap times nearly double what it should be due to people not playing it safe and hammering down), but a great event in general. Surface is a clay/dirt/sand mixture and the majority of it was blue groove in a matter of hours. There was also minimal dust, no matter how many were running on it. Definitely will be back again next year.

Yep 1900 with an 18t is my fav setup. I step it down to 16/17 on a really tight track to get more resolution in the trigger, then set current limit if running too hot. I prefer a taller gear as electric motors and still instantly accelerate but it's a bit smoother and you have plenty of top end to chase down anyone (including nitros) down the straight.

I run Kyo springs, mainly because I already had a bunch of them cause I hated the RC8 springs when I drove it. I like Orange or light blue up front depending on traction, then Orange in the rear. Oils in the 40f/32r then adjust based on temps and track smoothness.

I've heard rumors they have been working on one for a year. Was from someone who I would trust not to make up stuff, but who knows.

I just ordered a b44.3, so knowing my luck they will be announcing any day now
