I just picked up a b44.2 to run at my local carpet track..... I built it identical to cavalieri's carpet setup, minus the 3* rear toe. I cannot get this thing to NOT spin out when Im off throttle in a turn. ive tried different tires, stiffening the front end, softening the rear, reducing d/r and nothing fixes it......any ideas what to look for ? Also, if I stay on the gas through a turn, it pushes like a dump truck. My 2wd buggy has the opposite problem, but its way easier to drive.

The pro carpet setups are usually made to rotate extremely well, especially under braking. They have the control to not spin out. Sounds to me that your front end is making too much traction. Try removing the outer ring or two of pins from your tires. Should help reduce front grip and edginess a tad. Add a washer or two to increase rear antisquat (front of the rear arm is higher than back of the arm). You could also try some front toe in, which may help. Though you said you have already tried it- stiffen the front suspension. I would recommend smaller pistons or heavier oil. If you are running a front sway bar, remove that.

When I ran the car on carpet I almost always kept the same setup from clay/dirt, and just put on the smallest spring cups to really drop the car down. I also ran clay compound Proline Ions with no traction compound on them because our track outlawed hard mini pin tires. It was on rails and no one could catch it.

In need of a new motor my brand new speed passion 6.5 fried on me!!! Any of you run the lrp vector x20 6.5??? If so is it a good reliable motor??? And what tooth pinion with stock spur??? Thanks for any information!!

I run a X20 7.5 in my B44.2, love the motor. I have a 8.5 in my 2wd buggy and 7.5 in my Stadium Truck.

For the 6.5 I would suggest 16-18 tooth with stock spur. Start 16 and check temps, gear up or down as needed with motor temps.

My 7.5 is 21/81 and comes off about 115 after 8 minutes with light boost and stock timing. My track is indoor and has some tight sections.

What's the diffrence between carbide and ceramic diff balls ,is one more durable or last longer ?

My experience with Carbide vs Ceramic:
Ceramic smoother but harder to dial in
Carbide last longer, easier to dial in and not as smooth

Does anyone know if the Part number 9933 (Pinion) Will work with the Durango diffs? Also i know that we could use the ASC1731 bearing back when we could get them. Would a 10mm x 16mm bearing work? (ASC1731 is 10mm x 5/8in 5/8in = 15.9~mm)

Do B44.3 gear diffs, front & rear fit on the B44.1?

Just buy the gear diffs and put then on the b44.1? Any mods involved or is not possible?

F & R diffs are a drop in fit for the .1 and .2
Part number for complete diff, not sure, google it.
.3 manual will have it too.

You can't buy the AE diff yet. You can get everything except the ring gear. People are parting out diffs on ebay but want 70$ a piece for them.
