Hi guys, I am fairing new to GT class and my budget build is a RTR Ofna GTP2.
I don't like to bash as I like to do a few practice runs at a local track, nothing competitive so far.
However, I want to make the most out of my GTP2 with limited budget.

So far I changed out the chassis to a more ridge Ultra LX2 with front kickup and a low profile radio box and tray ($18). Pickup a set of rear pivot ball arms from a Hyper 7 ($15). Yellow hard spring front and rear. Sweep tires. Servo upgrade.

I am now running JP2 pipe with my rtr engine but feel sluggish coming out of a turn. Any recommendation? I know this is a heavy ride but just want to make the most out of it.

The JP-2 is a mid to high rpm pipe.
What gearing are you using for pinions and spur?
What clutch are you using?

I had really good luck with a JP-1 when I used that motor in a truggy. Motor just seemed to work better, and had better run times with it. The JP 3 wasn't as good, but the top end was screamin ( go figure its a top end pipe!)

Still got the JP-1 pipe if you want it. Cheap. Pm me.

I am using stock gear which is 14T and 18T Pinon and 45T and 49T spur.
Clutch is also stock.

If the JP1 is good at top end, that means its good for long straight... I am looking for something that can help me pulling out the corner. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I also did some research on pipe pairing on .28 and most suggest 086 pipe.
Does anyone know if this will achieve what I am chasing after?

Ultimately, I will buy a Novarossi ISON 5 port in the future and the pipe i buy now can be use on this engine... That will be perfect.

The JP-1 is a Low end pipe.
JP-3 is the top end, JP-2 is a mid to top.

The 086 is also a top end pipe.

You could also give the Werks/Orion 2013 a shot. Monster torque pipes. But dont let that fool anyone. They put down all the way thru the power band, just "emphasize" the bottom more.

It is wrong to say which pipe does what. The total result is also manifold and motor related.....

But companies do advertise which pipe has better low end or high end.
I understand to get the full effect, you got to go through the whole nine yard.
But before buying anything new, I just want to push a little further on the ofna force .28.

Maybe I will try jp1 if it is cheap enough for my "inexpensive" build.
