The CRC XL manual and the XI addendum don't list a tube lube as a staring point, nor does it say which springs come with the kit. Our track is approx 60'X90' CRC carpet. I have new CRC Magenta fronts and pink rears. I have also ordered some Dbl pink front and pink rears. We run 1S 13.5. Some direction on the tube lube and springs would help. I have a good selection of springs and lube. Just kinda looking for a starting point. Thanks!!!
On our track at the hangar the lilac/dbl pink work on the front and the pink are the normal choice. This is what I have been told by Wayne and Craig (who we can all trust).. I have yet to have issues with that combination..

What shock is that in the picture?? I have been looking for a better shock than the one that comes with the 12r5.1 but found out the most common one is no longer available from hotbodies.. Or does anyone have recommendations on a better shock that takes stock springs preferably?

I'd guess it's a Team Prime shock

Please note that fitting the Team Prime shock to the 12R5.x is not plug-and-lay. You need the stock bottom ball cup (the Team Prime one is too short), but then you also need a different ball for the top (the AE one is too large). The T.O.P. balls work (as recommended a few pages back), but take an M2.5 screw as opposed to AE's M3 screw. To keep it from flopping around in the mount, I used a flat-head screw and tightened to the carbon plate to let the cone head sink in and keep it centered. The T.O.P. ball does have a bit of play inside the shock top, though, so I'm still trying to figure out how to tighten that up (need a really thin o-ring, I think).

Anyway, I didn't know any of this when I bought the Team Prime shock, so hopefully you can learn through my struggles. I'd love to hear from other people who have fit the shock for other/better ideas.

That's a hot bodies shock on keven's car. The prime shock is a copy of it and is silver.

I have no direct experience with the team prime product, but with the hot bodies I prefer to toss the ball cups provided and replace the cap with the silva shock cap. this allowed more flexibility on shock length, with short or long ball cups on either end. AE ball cups (short, long or the new TC6 style) all work fine and with std AE ball studs.

http://www.rc-square.com/product/hanyou/han_race.htm

This one by Square RC is almost identical to the HB shock.

Wasn't the prototype used 2012 Worlds by Hohwart?

That shock can also be HSP shock, available (at least) from Zen Racing UK.

Can you link me to this "silva shock cap" you refer to? Sounds like it would work better than what I'm doing. Thanks!

Silva concepts is now owned by Barry Hill (Owner of Hyperdrive, MSA distributors, On-Point). He has all the parts for the HPS2 shock here http://muddslidemotorsports.com/hpshkibl.html All the parts fit the hot bodies shock as well.

I got the Square shock because it's black. Seems the same as team prime minus the Ti-nitride shaft. TOP shock cap fit it as well, if that helps anyone.

Yes, they've been testing it for a while. I'm happy to see they made it work with 1S. When I talked to Rick at the 2013 IIC he wasn't sure if it'd have a built in booster.

Awesome, thank you! I ordered a top cap, this should be pretty cool.
